Back in Blighty

25/4/2012

Well what can I say apart from Gutted to be back in the UK its cold damp wet miserable and I hate it!
Job front is not looking good, had to sign on as redundancy money is slowly ruining into the reserve tank. Another down side is might have to have operation on my left elbow, had the right one done a few years ago, so that's not going to help me get a job. Looking like I may have to sell the house not a good plan for the retirement programe but may have to. On the plus side Don't mind living in this tin can on wheels as some of my friends call it, no names John!!!
So if I have to to then so be it, sell the house take the money and tour Europe for about 5 years then ?????????????????????????????????????????

Am gutted but having to go back to the UK over Christmas for a death in the family, took a portion of the budget, also suffering four bouts of my ongoing stomach problem, I have decided to return home early, Not happy Morocco was the big one and I was so looking forward to traveling over after my parents had visited, however the budget has taken a hammering so Morocco will have to wait till next year, and by hook or by crook I WILL BE BACK, even if I have to sell my house. I have been living in the motor home since August 6th 2011 and find it very relaxing and easy especially out here in the sun. Sun I have been very lucky with the weather so I guess that's made it easier. will be leaving Cabopino around the 9th March and will take a slow drive through France for about 2 weeks. Have but up some more pictures from a visit to the caves of Nerja, and the old town of Mijas.

Still here!

Well been here for three months now, have had a great time but looking forward to moving on. Parents coming to visit in February for two weeks, after that will be catching the ferry to Tangier and starting the next part of the tour , plan is (although the plans seem to go right out he window once you get going)
To depart Tangier and follow the coast road down t o Agadir taking a few days and stopping at various campsites along the way.
Staying in Agadir for a week or two then heading south to Laayoune again stopping of at various campsites along the way, Laayoune is just north of the border with the Western Sahara if its possible to cross the border I will continue south down to Dakhia, have looked on Google Earth there is a small surfers camp called Club Med and a very tiny campsite a few miles further south. This part of the trip is probably going to be the trickiest and scariest.
After spending some time down there will be heading back north to Agadir and then an inland route to Ouarzazate a quick divert south again to Mhamid and camp in the sand dunes for a while, then back on track through the Gorge de Todra, Forest de Cedars then on to Mekmes over the Atlas Mountains and back to Tangier. The return trip from Dakhia to Tangier is 1807 miles from Tangier to Dakhia is 1286 a total of 3093 miles in Morocco. the return trip to the UK is
1303 miles add that to the 1500 or so I have already done looking at a toal mileage (approx)  5896 ouch that's put the mileage up?
If all this comes off should be back in the UK about April 24 ish? oh and skint!!!!

Arrived here for 2 nights on Tuesday 4th october!

What is there to say about it!

BLACKPOOL WITH SUN!

Well after four and a half weeks in Sitges it was time to move on, plus the weather was going to drop to about 21deg, here in Benicasim its back up in the 30s Good camp site loads more Brits on it, Dutch German, and not to many frogs err French (sorry).
My mum dad used to stay here for three months at a time over the winter, I could never understand why until now, very friendly lots to do and a 2 supermarkets right outside the gates, I have been spending a fortune at the camp site shop in Sitges as it was so far out of town.
Still only here for two nights then off to Benidorm.

Staying on!

22/9/2011

Was due to leave here a few days ago but have decided to stay on, the town is very friendly and there are some wicked beaches. So I have decided to stay at least till the end of September, prob move south to Benicasum then Denia followed by a quick look at Benidorm, (quick look) who knows have decided there is no real plan anymore just go where life takes me.
Am starting to get into the way of life this motor home offers, chilled right down lazing on beaches all day, no stress of work etc, just hope I can manage it without getting bored. I have to admit the first few weeks I was lost for what to do and was thinking this was a big mistake, its a little difficult downing this on your own, but I am meeting new people every day. I think one down side is not being able to share my experiences with another person/partner that I do miss, but thats the single life for you!

A nice old Spanish town with small streets and small bars not your usual concrete jungle holiday resort, full of night clubs etc.
